What to Expect

We begin at the iconic Hallmark House Hotel with it’s amazing views of the City – originally a diamond polishing company, it was transformed into a hotel/residential building in 2017.

From here, we take a leisurely walk through the Maboneng Precinct taking in all the wonderful street art on its walls while learning about it’s history and development from 2009 – today.

We finish off this part of the tour at the scenic Living Room rooftop bar and restaurant – a wonderful urban oasis providing you with groovy music and a break from the hustle and bustle of the City…one of our favourite places in Joburg!

From Living Room, we head to Victoria Yards – formerly a steam laundromat built in 1913, it was converted into a mixed-used development in 2016.

On arrival at Victoria Yards, guests will be greeted with a refreshment drink before enjoying a guided tour of the development learning about it’s history, transformation and what’s happening there now!

Once the tour is done, guests will be free to walk around and explore the studios, browse and buy at the market, meet the artists, mingle with people, listen to music and just enjoy the vibe of the market!

At 3pm, the tour ends and the Shuttle will be available to return guests back to the meeting/start point at Hallmark House.

NOTE!

Guests are welcome to stay at Victoria Yards after 3pm if they wish – you can catch an Uber back home or to the meeting point from here when you’re ready to go!

Ultimately, this tour is about offering guests an opportunity to experience First Sundays with us in the City with the highlight of the tour being a visit to Victoria Yards Market that only happens every first Sunday of each Month!
